2016 not nearly as an explosive year as 2015.  It's interesting to see that Sol's list has all movies but 1 that are remakes, sequels, or based on video games - I guess there's not a lot of new high-profile properties.  I'd add to the list:

Star Trek: Beyond
Doctor Strange
Sully
Jack Reacher 2
The New Bourne Identity Movie
The Jungle Book
Eddie the Eagle
The Brothers Grimsby

Movies that are new ideas usually aren't easy to see coming this far out.  I'm sure there will be a few good ones, just not excited about anything like that yet besides Passengers.

Of your additions, I'm keeping my expectations for STB low because I really didn't like STID.  Doctor Strange, Jack Reacher 2, Bourne, and Jungle Book are all movies that could win me over by release.

What movies do you plan to see in theaters this summer?

Here's my list...

Captain America: Civil War
X-Men: Apocalypse
Warcraft
Independence Day: Resurgence
The Legend of Tarzan
Star Trek Beyond
Jason Bourne
Suicide Squad
Kubo and the Two Strings

Some interest, but maybe not a theater movie for me...

Neighbors 2
TMNT 2
The Conjuring 2
Central Intelligence
Finding Dory
Free State of Jones
Secret Life of Pets
Pete's Dragon
The Space Between Us

I'm shocked that Finding Dory wouldn't be on someone's must-see list. It's at the top of mine for this summer.

I love Finding Nemo, but the trailer for Finding Dory did nothing for me.  I'm not sold on it yet.

I'm a huge fantasy action adventure junkie.  So even if Warcraft is bad, I might enjoy it on the level I enjoyed Jupiter Ascending or Seventh Son, movies generally regarded as crap that I enjoyed.  Plus, it will be much better on the big screen than at home.

Considering I've never played WOW, I don't think there's any way I could hate Warcraft more than Eragon.

Thankfully, there's always something interesting hiding in the shadows. Here's what I'm hoping comes to my local theater.

High-Rise (I may watch this on demand, but it looks pretty slick so it may be worth a theater visit)
The Lobster
De Palma
Swiss Army Man
Wiener-Dog
Café Society

The cineplex might grab me for these:
The Nice Guys
The Shallows
Ghostbusters
Star Trek
